Perranporth Beach

CORNWALL is one of the best areas in the UK for beaches and Perranporth is among the highlights in the county.

Located in the north and further west than the popular seaside stables in Newquay, Perranporth is well-liked by various different people from surfers to families.

Why should you visit Perranporth Beach?

Perranporth Beach is two miles of soft sand with a small stream running through it – the perfect place to bring your whole family.

It is a slice of heaven in Cornwall, with incredible views all around, whether you love to watch the waves glide in or if you admire sandy beaches and the green landscape around them.

This beach is not just for families – if you are up early enough, you might see horses and their riders strolling across the sand dunes.

Meanwhile, Perranporth is one of the best places to surf in Cornwall and you won’t have to deal with the huge crowds of people at its noisier neighbour, Fistral Beach in Newquay.

With pubs and cafes lining the edge of the beach, you could join the many people that spend all day at Perranporth Beach.

Are dogs allowed on Perranporth Beach?

It is good news for dog lovers as canines are allowed on the sands of Perranporth all year round.

Although many beaches ban dogs during the busy times of the year – there are no such restrictions at Perranporth.

However, in July and August, they will need to be kept on leads.

Is Perranporth Beach wheelchair accessible?

Perranporth Beach does have easy access with a ramp running down to the first part of the beach from the Promenade car park.

There is also a pathway that leads you some across the beach if you want to get further down before settling.

Near the Car Park on the Promenade, there are disabled toilets available.

Meanwhile, you can get a sand chair for extra comfort – just call Perranporth Beach on 07591 935222 or 01637 831383.
